Welcome to Our Lady of the Rosary of Talpa School! Talpa is one of four Catholic elementary schools in Southern California that is sponsored by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. With a membership of more than 19,000 Catholic Sisters worldwide, the Daughters of Charity touch lives through the ministries of education, health care, social and pastoral services.
The Daughters of Charity are proud to have been a part of the history of Talpa School since its inception in 1951. Four Daughters of Charity opened the school with 256 children in grades K-4, adding additional grades with each passing year. In 2003, the Daughters of Charity increased their commitment to the financial viability of the school by entering into a Co-Sponsorship Agreement with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
With the guidance of the Daughters of Charity, Our Lady of Talpa School’s mission is to provide the finest education in an inclusive Catholic community of faith. In the spirit of our founders, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Louise de Marillac, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Our Lady of the Rosary of Talpa School will continue to minister to underserved families and educate students to lead, serve, and grow to their full potential as beloved children of God.
God Bless,
