Important Notice to All Talpa Students and Families:
As of the first day of the 2013/2014 school year (Monday, August 12), the school day will begin at Talpa daily at 8:05 a.m. This time is 10 minutes earlier than it has been in past school years. Talpa’s complete Daily Schedule and Early Dismissal Schedule are posted below.

Talpa has made this change to accommodate the number of instructional minutes that the state of California and the Archdioceses of Los Angeles require for each subject.

Additionally, Tuesdays will be half days for faculty meetings. Talpa’s Extended Day program will be available after school on Tuesdays, so students will be able to remain at school until 5 p.m.

Daily Schedule

• 8:05 a.m. – Bell Rings
• 8:10 a.m. – Late Bell Rings
• 8:15 a.m. – Prayer, Pledge, Announcements
• 8:25 a.m. – First Class begins
• 10:00-10:15 a.m. – Recess K-4
• 10:40-10:55 a.m. – Recess 5-8
• 12:00-12:35 p.m. – Lunch K-4
• 12:25-1:00 p.m. – Lunch 5-8
• 2:45-3:00 p.m. – Clean-Up/Dismissal 

Early Dismissal Schedule
