Dear Talpa Family,
Thank your and trust through these unprecedented times. Today, we have just received guidance from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles that regional Catholic schools will be closing until March 31st. Although this will certainly present some challenges, Our Lady of Talpa School faculty, staff, and administration has a plan prepared to continue the learning process for your children.
That process will be on-line and will begin Wednesday, March 18th. We will be updating you on that process in the very near future mostly using Jupiter (login.jupitered.com/login) , the school website, and the school’s Facebook page. It is critical that you check Jupiter on a daily basis. If you do not have access Jupiter, please email me at mrrojas@talpaschool.com
The office will be open Monday morning at 9am until 3pm. We will be open to pass out important materials like textbooks, notebooks, reading books, and other important supplies for students who have been absent. If your child has been present, they already have these with them.
If we do not have your updated contact information such as email address or cell phone, please email that to me. If you do not have access to the internet, please message us through jupiter. For any questions at all, please reach out to me at mrrojas@talpaschool.com
We have a very detailed plan that we will soon share with you using Jupiter, the school’s website, and Facebook. This plan will take place on a daily basis and begin next Wednesday, March 18th. This plan can only be effective if you ensure your child is logging in daily and doing their work at home. If this occurs, together, we will manage this challenge and continue our transformative education.
As always, we rely on Christ and the intercession of Mary, Our Lady of Talpa, and our Founders; St. Vincent de Paul, St. Louise de Marillac, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
In their trust,
Mr. Rojas
